Course Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

 Obtain knowledge and skills such as the term used, the concepts of coordinate system and
metrological requirement, the CMM application techniques and identifies various sources of errors
that affect measurements using a CMM
 Understand the functions of CMM that contains information such as magnitude and direction of the
elements, construction elements, and datum, and alignment, outcome products from function tasks
and part programing that automatically evaluate the characteristics on a specified object.
 Operate the CMM to set up part alignment, probing and construct features and using these features
to produce the outcome such as coordinates position, lengths, diameters, angles and geometric
 Demonstrate proficiency on the measurement controlled by geometric tolerance such as form,
orientation, location, runout and profile.
 Distinguish the measurement methods among the cylindricity, total runout position and concentricity,
and then evaluate the results.
 Avoid any argument regarding measurement results due to competency in handling measurement
process that follows the metrological requirements.
 Increase interest using CMM to obtain the measurement results as functions on product qualification
because they understand the concepts and application of GD&T system that use to total control on
the product quality
